VOLUNTEER WITH AFSCO

We welcome local and international volunteers who want hands on impact in Jinja and nearby areas. Volunteering is skill sharing, not "free labor". You come, you learn, we all grow.
Volunteer Opportunities with AFSCO
Health:
Doctors, nurses, lab techs, pharmacists, midwives at Taylor Memorial & United Community Clinic. Tasks: OPD support, ANC/PNC, health talks, outreaches, training CHWs.
Education & Child Mentorship:
Tutoring, reading clubs, computer basics, sports/coaching in partner schools.
Agriculture & Environment:
Train farmers on organic methods, set up demo gardens, composting, tree planting, and climate awareness.
Social Work & Counseling:
Psycho-social support, GBV awareness, disability inclusion, home visits.
Admin/Communications/Fundraising: Grant writing, photography, social media, M&E, donor reporting from our Jinja office. Remote options available.
Who Can Volunteer?
Students, medical professionals, teachers, agronomists, social workers, WASH specialists, communications/media, fundraisers anyone with time and heart.
What AFSCO provides:
Placement, local supervision, orientation on culture/safety, certificate of service.
Volunteer covers:
Visa, flights, accommodation, meals, personal insurance, and a small program fee to support activities. We help arrange budget for host families.
