What We Do

1. Health & Community Clinics

AFSCO believes good health is the foundation of every other goal. We operate two clinics bringing affordable, dignified care to families who can't afford private hospitals.

Taylor Memorial Clinic: General consultations, family planning, pharmacy, minor surgeries, laboratory, diagnostics, emergency care and health education. Located in Jinja urban with about 29000 residents currently.

United Community Clinic: General consultations, family planning, pharmacy, minor surgeries, laboratory, diagnostics, emergency care, health education and community health outreaches. Located in a slum settlement with 36,000+ population.

Both clinics run on sliding scale fees and free days for the most vulnerable. We partner with volunteers and donors to stock medicines, equip labs, and train community health workers.

2. Education & Child Support

We keep vulnerable children in school through tuition support, scholastic materials, and mentorship. No child is turned away because their parent can't pay.

3. Agriculture, Nutrition & Climate Action

Training in organic vegetable growing, kitchen gardens, composting, seed saving, and value addition. We work with schools, youth and women's groups to improve household nutrition and income while restoring soil.

4. Economic Empowerment

Village Savings & Loan Associations (VSLAs), small business training, and linkage to seed capital. We also create local employment through clinic support staff and agri-projects.

5. Rights, Gender & Psycho-Social Support

Legal aid, counseling, GBV prevention, and advocacy for children, women, and PWDs. We help families know their rights and access justice.

6. Water & Sanitation

Community sensitization, borehole/water point support, and hygiene education to reduce water borne disease.
